Project Change Management in Acumatica 2018 R1
Acumatica has released version 2018 R1 which includes several new features for project users. Today we will highlight one of them – Project Change Orders.
During the initial stage of a project, after the project’s original budget has been finalize, users can lock the budget from further edits. When using Change Orders, the original budget is not changed, but is tracked separately for better analysis. You can record changes to both the project’s revenue and cost budgets, in addition the you have the ability to see the profitability of every change on the project budget.
Change order supports the standard Acumatica ERP approval process. An approval map can be configured and email notifications can be sent to the approvers.
Some additional features include:
- Change orders can be printed and also sent via email to the customer.
- A purchase order can be generated during the release of a change order and will update the project commitments.
- After a change order has been released it can no longer be changed, but it can be reversed.
- Change order classes are available to assign to individual change orders.
